situation approach
The situation is approach is a socio-educational approach to the support of education and life coping processes of children in child care centers in the target horizon of autonomy, solidarity and competence. It was developed in the first half of the 1970s, a second growth spurt was in the 1990s. It should not be confused with the so-called "situation-oriented approach" by Armin Krenz.
The situational approach to everyday situations and topics to be addressed - so-called "key situations" - that hold within them the potential to prepare exemplary and compressed way children for their future life. In addition to everyday life in and around the nursery to be addressed, in its possibilities, to enable learning in "real situations". It is important that the pedagogical staff picks up the motivation of children and to support and identify the issues with the children.
